This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience a journey into the past and a glimpse into the future. Be part of a truly historic occasion when members of the MPI (Meeting Professionals International) chapters from Greater NY and NJ come together with HSMAI's Greater NY (Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International) and the Cornell Hotel Society New York City at the gateway to America, Ellis Island.

A fabulous evening awaits filled with fantastic networking opportunities as you meet and greet event planners and hospitality service providers from across the metropolitan region. Fun-filled ferry rides will depart from Battery Park in Manhattan and Liberty State Park in Jersey City with refreshments on board. Incredible photo opportunities will be plentiful as the ferries maneuver within a few hundred yards of Lady Liberty and then continue on to Ellis Island.

On arrival, you'll step back in time to be welcomed by live musicians and re-enactors evoking the epoch of early twentieth century immigration. It was the era when millions passed through the very same portals in their quest for freedom and a better life.

What makes Ellis Island so unique as a fabulous event venue are not only the spectacular views of Manhattan and the lady in the Harbor but the profound historic significance of the location. Ellis Island and what occurred there speaks to the heart and to the soul and creates an environment that makes engaging metaphorical connections to business communications.

We admire the immigrants because of their courage and overwhelming desire to improve the lives of their families. We can apply their great example when clients are looking for that special location for their strategic meetings and events. Your clients have an opportunity to connect their business messages to those very personal journeys that have shaped a better future for all.

Come out and join the celebration on September 14th. Take a refreshing ferry ride. Research your own family's journey to America. Taste the incredible assortments of ethnic food and drink. Enjoy the talents of fabulous musicians energizing the evening with their special brand of world music. Experience the dynamic networking opportunities where multiple MPI branches mix it up.
